Killing a TV show's or movie's main villain in a rushed, unexpected way – without providing more context or consequences. The term originates from Season 8 Episode 3 of Game of Thrones, where *spoiler alert* Arya Stark unexpectedly killed the show's main villain, the Night King by dropping a dagger and stabbing him. The motivations of the big bad guy were never fully explained. Similar to jump the shark.
