Barney has the sweetest heart but nobody knows. He is in fact so sweet he won't ever fit in because its a cruel world. He just mimicries his surrounding. Thats why sometimes you might think he is a liar. Which creates the perfect juctaposition: Barney is a sweet liar (one of his labels). Barney knows that i am attracted to him and i'm sure he knows my intentions are good. With time he will make up his mind about romantic stuff like that.
