Lily Evans/Potter (30 January, 1960 – 31 October, 1981) - Harry Potter's mother, married to James Potter and sister to Petunia Dursley. Lily grew up in a town called Cokeworth, not far from Spinner's End where Severus Snape lived. When she was 9 Severus told her she was a witch. Even though she was sorted into Gryffindor and Severus into Slytherin they remained great friends until he called her a m*dblood. Even though she married James Potter J.K. Rowling revealed that if Severus hadn't been so involved with the dark arts Lily could have ended up with him. Vivacious, you know. Charming girl. I used to tell her she ought to have been in my House. Very cheeky answers I used to get back too." -- Horace Slughorn
