ABBA - A swedish pop group of four members, popular during the '70s and early '80s. The name is derived from their initials; Anni-frid (Frida) Lyngstad, Benny Andersson, Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Agnetha Faltskog. Both Frida and Agnetha have successful solo-careers, while Benny & Bjorn have two musicals based on their work, Mamma Mia and Chess. The 1994 movie Muriel's Wedding has also helped introduce younger generations to ABBA's music.
