The Landsverk effect, is when you are having a conversation with someone, and that person can only respond with relating your issues and stories through themselves. They will not actually listen to try understand the emotions and situation you are going through. Instead they will use your words vaguely, as a catalyst, a launching pad, to tell their emotions and situation to you. As a result, that person will always, somewhat unintended, make sure that the convensation, is gonne be almost exclusively be about them.
