The Stefanazzi Slice is when a player hits a tennis ball on to the opposing players side of the court with such a tremendous spin that when the ball lands on the ground it spins back across the net before the ball can be hit by the opposing player thereby winning the point. Carlo Stefano Stefanazzi from Aurigeno Italy is a decedant of Nic Farrari who is believed to be one of the early founders of tennis and the Stefanazzi referenced in the Stefanazzi Slice.
