Stroof or Struth originates from Australia, but has been adapted in the fens of Cambridgeshire. The word is used to express surprise or dislike to a previous statement much like oh my god, shit or fuck me. Most commonly used by lads between 16-25 this word becomes extremely irritating if excessively used. Note: This word is used to best effect when said in a deep monotone voice and has been known to make girls wetter than an otters pocket.
