A pesticide which could be used to kill off mosquitoes. Once, the people of Borneo were suffering from malaria (mosquitoes carry malaria) and DDT was sprayed to get rid of the mosquitoes. Not only did it kill mosquitoes, but also wasps that ate caterpillars there. Caterpillars began multiplying and ate the grass roofs of people's houses.
