The word "crap" comes from the inventor of the flushing toilet, Thomas Crapper. After that, the toilet started to be called the "crapper", in honour of its inventor. After that, the name for feces became "crap", and finally, nowadays, we use it as a word to express our emotions. Some people consider it as a swear word, but it is actually a shortened last name.
