Blackaroni and cheese is baked mac and cheese in its most basic (and tasty) form. The word black is merged into it because of the fact that those who add a ton of extras (think bread crumb toppings or added veggies) tend to be caucasian rather than African American. It is typically used in a positive way, to praise rather than demean, a tradition more often seen from a particular race. The phrase may be simplified into one word by dropping the cheese and simply saying "blackaroni."
