KomPRO stands for Kompa Performance Rights Organization. founded in NYC by Negre Marron Records CEO and Label director René Guemps. KomPRO is a public performance rights organization located in New York City that monitors and collects public performance royalty payments for the public performance broadcast of Terrestrial, Commercial or Community Radio, Low-power broadcasting or Microbroadcasting, (SubCarriers), and similar platforms that streams Haitian Kompa Music over both AM/FM bands and pay it to Haitian Kompa Song writers, artists, nonfeatured musicians and nonfeatured vocalists, producer, mixer, or sound engineer who was part of the creative process behind the sound recording.
