Griefing can refer to multiple definitions, but is most commonly used in Minecraft and some other video games. 1. Griefing is the act of irritating and angering people in video games through the use of destruction, construction, or social engineering. 2. In forums to harass by all means: stalking, impersonation, VPN, etc. with the intent to ban, make the user uncomfortable, and etc. 3. (Chiefly in Minecraft) Griefing is when a NPC comes up and destroys your creation, mainly a creeper. Can be turned off using /gamerule mobgriefing false when cheats are enabled.
