(v.) to eat other people's leftovers after having your own meal, by embodying the spirit of a paternal figure and eating more food than you normally would to avoid wasting said food. This behavior is most often displayed by a dad at a restaurant when other family members have food left on their plate, but also extends to the average weeknight dinner table, snacks, ingredients for a meal, or beverages. This behavior is not solely limited to dads either, and may be exhibited by any person regardless of gender, orientation, or current number of children.
