A genre of electronic music involving but not limited to: 1) filtered/modulated saw synths that can be detuned, with gliding pitch, with multiple voices to make it that crispy supersaw frequently used by Flume and Illenium. This can be used for chords, plucks, or leads. 2) Brassy sounds for synths or bass. Just make sure it's detuned and glidey. 3) Arpeggiated plucks for accompaniment. 4) Reese bass or some other detuned, low-passed bass. Often 808's. 5) Trap-influenced drums/percussion with toms dispersed with the kicks and snares. Impacts can help with the impact of the drop. 6) BPM 90-160. Usually between 90 and 130. The higher ranges are often associated with future bass sub-genres like Kawaii Future Bass or future trap. 7) White noise and heavy buildup with cutoffs opening up leading to drop. 9) Very focused on melody and chords. 10) Can have vocalists but not necessary. Can even have rappers.
