A movement started around 2015 when lots of companies herded towards "becoming a tech company", driven primarily by the fear of loosing out. Dork-com companies are those who lost sight of their core business and shed their best people to embrace a new "digital business" that never took off. These companies will subsequently be seen in the same light as Y2K, the Kool Kardashain Kard and selfie sticks.
