A particularly refined version of the Welsh-Scottish name Gandolf but in the later 21st century was used much too often in reference to a wizard. It was not until the mid 1980’s that a “V” was used in replacing the “G” and therefore a name of class, fashion and quiet refinement was created. Vans (a popular and shortened modern version of the name Vandolf).
