A degree mill that used to be called 'Poly' or the 'Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn' which had a 75% acceptance rate in 2012. It used to be cheap school until it got bought out by NYU. Now it's a real estate and land owned by NYU that disguised as a educational institution. NYU Tandon increased the tuition several folds while the teaching quality and facility are still at a low-tier. After a rich Indian donated big bucks to the school and it got renamed to Tandon. The student demographics of this school hasn't changed. Lazy lackluster, gamers, kids who should've went to community college first, etc. Now NYU Tandon is regarded as a back-door option to get into NYU. There has been an increase in kids that aren't interested in engineering but are desparate for the NYU brand so they use NYU Tandon as a backdoor to NYU. Thus the quality continues to decrease. NYU Tandon is one of the few engineering schools where engineering students are the worst quality students compared to the rest of NYU.
