1. A sandwich, consisting of a fried egg (over medium), avocado, mayonnaise and sriracha on white or sourdough bread; popular in Northern California. 2. The mythical inventor of the Edgar Norick Sandwich. It is unclear if there actually was a man named Edgar Norick, or if the sandwich is named for some word play. Some believe Norick was a Santa Cruz surfer, others believe he was a Humboldt County lumberjack, but most believe that he was the proprietor of a roadside Orange County farm stand in the 1940s.
