1) In the modern term of the word, love could mean several things. One, is the facade to trick someone into thinking that you matter to them when in truth, you are just another person and not anyone special. This is mostly used amongst teenagers. When humans mature, they start to realize that "love" is more complicated than that. Another variation is yet again a facade, however, this one is used by older teenagers just so that they can have sexual intercourse with another human. Very rarely is there an exception today. 2) The old fashioned term of the word has been lost in the translation. It was once a special word to describe how you felt about one special person, who you seemingly could not live without. This is the term that is used in marriages (even this term is losing its effect in matrimony).
