Central Florida is a region of the Southern U.S. state of Florida and located in the central part of the state, including the Tampa Bay and Orlando area. It is one of Florida's three directional regions, along with North Florida and South Florida. It includes the following counties: Brevard, Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia. Central Florida. It is the home to historic Cypress Gardens, The Yearling, Florida Crackers, Cowboy Culture, Strawberry Festivals, Orange Groves, Natural Springs, Many Lakes, lots of fishing, hunting, and water skiing. Some Natives include John Anderson, Delta Burke, Mel Tillis, Pam Tillis, Gov. Lawton Chiles. Central Florida is still Southern, just not as Southern as Northern Florida....Orlando, well Disney happened....and then in Tampa the cubans came to roll cigars...but other than that its cracker country.
