Rhetoric raid is when a disgruntled, former partner sends repetitive texts. The purpose of the rhetoric- raid is to prevent the recipient from moving on, being present with what she/he is doing in the moment, make his/her presence known to the new love interest and otherwise throw the receiver off balance. A rhetoric- raid is a nonsensical series of texts sent by a former lover.
