One of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time. Band members consist of one of the greatest frontmen in metal, and great rythm guitarist, James Hetfield, great drummer Lars Ulrich, excellent bassist Robert Trujilo, and a great lead guitarist, Kirk Hammett. Has had many other talented musicians, such as kickass bassists Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted and Megadeth guitarist Dave Mustaine. Have been known to break the horrible hair metal rockstar era in the 80's, and in 1986 making one of the greatest metal albums of all time, Master of Puppets. Their sound influenced many other great bands to play thrash metal, such as Slayer.
