One of the richest counties in the United States and the richest county in Kansas with a median household income of 78,000 dollars. It is a upper-middle class county with only 6% of people below poverty level. Over 500,000 people live in Johnson County. The school districts in Johnson County are very good with a 95.8% of students graduating high school. I am from Johnson County so I can say that most people in Johnson County live in their own bubble where they are separated from the rest of the world. There are many cities and towns in Johnson County ranging from big ones like Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Lenexa and Shawnee Mission to small towns like De Soto, Gardner, Spring Hill, Mission Hills and Prairie Village. Johnson County takes up 480 square miles. It was founded on August 25, 1855. It was named after Thomas Johnson.
