Feminism is the movement for equal rights for all genders. Equal, as in actually equal. Not "equal", well except that you can only make 79 cents to the dollar for the EXACT SAME WORK as a male counterpart. Or "Yah, sure, I believe in women's rights. Just make sure the bathroom is clean when I get home. And make sure you wash the whites separate so they are nice and bright." Feminism acknowledges the reality that one of every three women is sexually assaulted in her life. Have a mom, a sister, and a wife? Which one has been the object of locker room talk, endured unwanted catcalls, missed a promotion because she was "too emotional", groped, harassed, or raped? Our CURRENT reality of sexual assault, economic disparities, and restraining gender norms are all based on HISTORY of inequality and oppression. This isn't rocket science, it is simple observation skills. Feminism is not a joke.
