The end of the story. '-30-' is put at the end of a news story before publication. The '-30-' is dropped from the final article as published. '-30-' can also be found at the end of a news release. Supposedly, the use of '-30-' stems from the last writings of a war correspondent, who was killed while writing a story during WWII. '-30-' was the last thing written on the page.
