Black chicken is a game designed to test the nerves of the contestants. Player 1 has something player 2 really wants. Player 1 just disappears. Player 2 almost dies out of desperation.

But player 2 doesn’t die. As long as player 1 doesn’t feed him, he still has a few other nutrients to keep going. The self created hype and memes keep player 2 alive.

As player 2 gets more and more desperate, he starts to get disillusioned. Almost as if he’s tripping on some very good drugs. Every image or thought of player 1 turns into an almost sexual experience.

Player 2 needs player 1. Should player 1 give him what he wants? Teasing without teasing at all is an inherent element of black chicken.

Black Chicken became famous once the band Arctic Monkeys started playing it. They also named their sixth record “Black Chicken”. It featured guest appearances by Clive and Taneesha. The first single “This one is for the... Chickies” ft. Taneesha became a huge hit. The deluxe edition box set included custom chicken drum sticks (representing Alex’ drum stick - real size). A fan died of salmonella because the chicken that came with his box set wasn’t cooked.
