When your flight is cancelled so you're moved to the next available flight (often to find that this flight also gets cancelled). This occurs so frequently that it simply becomes the accepted norm. Alternatively, the flight doesn't get "cancelled", it simply gets "delayed" - in some cases by 24 hours or more.
