Tausi Melek takes similarity in being the equivalent of the Devil of the Bible, and the equivalent of Shaitan in the Quaran, in being the highest angel fallen due to the refusal of serving humans. Contrary to said books, Yezidis assume Tausi Melek to be "forgiven", and will often not like to call him a name other than "Tausi Melek".
