The best god damn instrument of all time, their are 4 types of saxophones: alto, tenor, Baritone sax,and saprano. The alto is the smallest/highest of the four and is also the most common, the tenor (of which I play) is the second smallest of the four and is kind of the balance between the alto and the Bari sax, also slightly Lower than alto but nothing close to trombone, the Bari is similar size to the saprano but much fatter much lower than the alto/ tenor and is somewhat similar to the baritone in sound hence the name baritone saxophone, the soprano of which I've only seen a couple times is a wierd saxophone clarinet mix but reaches all the way to the floor sound is Somewhat similar to the clarinet in sound as well.
