In the world famous ski and mountain biking Mecca of Rossland, B.C., every truck in town has a tailgate mat ( usually a Dakine mat) , with mountain bikes hanging over the tailgate. These "Rossland rugs" hang as a badge of honour, found on trucks in parking lots all over British Columbia, and wherever mountain bike culture exists.
