The act of repeatedly continuing in an arcade video game solely to complete it (usually a 2D shooter where the player's ship or character respawns on the spot instead of being returned to a checkpoint or the beginning of the level), which can only be done if lots of coins are inserted - hence the credit-feed. But it's a very unprofessional way of gaming as opposed to learning and memorizing the levels, and often comes with the penalty of having the player's score reset to 0 every time he or she continues. Furthermore, to make things even worse, the ability to continue is lost once the final level or boss is reached in some titles - see Point of No Continues.
