Emo is a style related to a dark subculture however emos aren't Goths nor Scenes which most people confused them with. The emo wording itself comes from a short–cut for EMOtional meaning emos are a more sensitive version of a dark subculture, aother misconception being that all emos cut themselves which is false, not everyone who considers themselves emo actually self–harm and another person who may hurt themselves don't consider themselves emos. An emo is iconically known as follows: * Pale skin. * Black hair. or a dark shade of brown. * Iconic makeup with eyeliner. * Piercings. * Black clothing with rarely any color. Most emos often wear green, pink and white. * Iconic converse, leather boots or vans. * Choppy and spiked in layers haircut. * Choppy bangs/fringes on one side of their face or completely covering one eye. Emos are exactly as above however not all whom dresses as such call themselves emo, but it's a to differ Emo from Scenes and Goths, one being Goths wear maibly black with little to no color, and opposite- Scenes wear more color.
