The greatest hard rock/heavy metal band ever, originally consisting of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, a band known as much for their distinctive facepaint, stage outfits, and platform boots as for their reputation as one of the greatest live acts around, as well as for such classic songs as "Detroit Rock City", " Deuce", "Calling Doctor Love", and "Rock & Roll All Nite"... Although their live shows were legendary, and several of their songs are bonafide rock classics, in the past 20 years, bass guitarist Gene Simmons has gotten dollar signs in his eyes, slapped their distinctive logo on just about anything and everything he can to make a buck, and turned them from a band into a brand... But that doesn't change the fact that Paul, Gene, Ace, and Peter made some totally kick-ass music back in the day...
