"Covfefe" is an accidental cultural appropriation and bastardization of two Samoan words conjoined by an arbitrary "v": "ko," meaning "pregnant; to pick a fruit; or to reach for something;" and "fefe," meaning "fear; afraid; or an expression of mockery." (Indented text above excerpted from Huffington Post's article "The meaning of the word 'covfefe' in the Samoan language".) "Covfefe" was hastily, unintentionally, and irrevocably lexicalized by pre-impeached U.S. "President" Donald Trump in his typical manner of sharing everything he thinks with everyone, without actually thinking it through first. "Covfefe" became a permanent addition to the pop-culture lexicon as Trump was publicly whining about "negative press" instead of being an actual leader focused on anything other than his own fragile, narcissistic ego. Trump's fear of others' opinions was the impetus for this delightful new word which is surpassed in its versatility only by the word "smurf" (which only slightly eclipses the versatility of the word "fuck"). What's "covfefe" mean? It's our word. It means whatever we want it to mean.
