To dick it out (v.) – 1.) The act of typing or pasting the word “dick” multiple times in a paper or article when one is experiencing an acute stint of writer’s block or is simply not sure what to write next, as an attempt to return to writing, and often used in lieu of punctuation. 2.) As especially applied to undergraduate students, the act of furiously typing away at a manuscript, at the last possible minute, in an effort to actually submit something half-way permissible by deadline time, on account of having chronically procrastinated.
