If you "generally wear those shitty hats side way, and your ass hanging out like a fucking goof cause your pants are half way down your white ass legs" as another person defines swag on this site, that's a whole different swag than the word I mean because a person with the swag I'm defining would never dress like that. This swag is a slang word that refers to stylish confidence. It's been used to mean roughly that since at least 1640. This person "has swagger". A cool customer. They know who they are, what they want, how to dress, what's cool and what's not, in every way, not just clothes. When they walk into a room, you notice, in a good way. You don't have it by thinking you do but because other people can tell you do. A person with swag will probably never think about having it, because being stuck up or centered on yourself is not cool or confident, it's annoying and weak.
