Osteophagy is when animals consume bones from a carcass to increase the calcium and phosphate in their diets. Cyclophagy is when people search for bicycles that were locked to a post and stripped for parts. The emotional response of fear and public disorder that comes from seeing a significant number of locked and stripped bicycles as symbolic of the lack of social controls in that vicinity.
