The Mixtec and Zapotec are the two largest indigenous groups in Oaxaca. In addition there are fourteen other groups: Mazatec, Chinatec, Mixe, Chatino, Trique, Huave, Chicatec, Zoque, Amuzgo, Chontal, Tacuate, Chochotec, Ixcatec, and Popoloco. All together they comprise 48% of the population of Oaxaca.
