Sunny (이 써니) is a singer and actress. She is a member of South Korea's top girl group Girls' Generation (소너시대). Sunny was born as SunKyu Lee (이 순규) on May 15, 1989 in Orange County, California, USA. She has two older sisters that share the same birthday as her, but different years. When Sunny was an infant, her family moved to Kuwait, and shortly after to South Korea, during the Gulf War. Due to the short war experience, Sunny grew up scared of loud noises. In 1998, she joined Starlight Entertainment, where she was a trainee for 5 years. She then went to Starworld Agency, where her father worked. Sunny was to debut with a duo called Sugar, but never did. In early 2007, Sunny joined SM Entertainment, which her uncle is the founder. She became a member of Girls' Generation in August 2007. Sunny is now a singer, actress, and an aegyo master.
