1. Post-rock/Indie band from the UK named after the HMS Hood 2. Famous British battleship (HMS Hood) that was sunk in WW2 by the rival German Battleship Bismarck. Some actually claim the Prinz Eugen fired the fatal shot. No one really knows for sure. The Brits got their revenge a couple days later when an entire fleet of the country's best ships surrounded the Bismarck and decimated it. The Germans claimed that the Brits were never actually able to sink it and that they scuttled it themselves.
