Slash

Usually used in a fanfiction setting, this refers to someone taking two male characters that are either straight or not part of a relationship in the original story and crafting a situation where they are homo-sexually involved. When used in combination with a modifier, it can take on another meaning. 'Femme-Slash' means the same thing, but describes two females that are either straight or not involved and crafting a situation where they are involved. Often, Slash and Femme-Slash are used by fanfiction writers to tastelessly smash two people together into a poorly crafted sexual scene, but not all are like this.

"I found this awesome new story for you, Bobby." "Is it slash, Rachel?" *Dejected* "Yeah." "Then I don't want to read it. If I can't connect to it, I don't care. I've made this clear." "Try it and I'll wear that black number you like." "SEND ME THE LINK NOW, WOMAN!"
