Adjective describing someone who desires a bump of any powdered drug for the purpose of avoiding the comedown and continuing the high. The term relates to another phrase, powder one's nose. The mainstream understanding of "powder one's nose," however, has forced users to come up with this similar reference to "needing a bump." Mostly self-proclaimed and used in settings (such as a party or a club) in which not all people present are aware that drugs are present. The declaration usually precedes one or more users retreating to a more private atmosphere, such as a bathroom, to snort the drug.
(During a crowded house party celebrating Mike's birthday, Alex rises from his chair and begins weaving through the people. On his way to the bathroom, he meets his friend, Chris, a fellow cokehead.) Chris - How you doin', bud? Alex - I'm going to the bathroom; I'm shiny. You want to join me? Chris - Right behind you.
