THE BEST BAND EVERR!!! ok seriously they are amazing live and they have the best guitar riffs and kick-ass lyrics! the reason all these stupid posers "lovee green day soooooo much" is becuase american idiot is really good compared to all the top 40 shit that is out now.. american idiot is a good album, just not one of green day's best albums. but green day is still AMAZINGG and i love them!

Okay, here's the deal. Green Day is a punk rock band from Berkley, California. In the '90's they were huge (especially 94) for bringing back punk with The Offspring and a few other bands. They have gotten a lot of shit thrown on them for going on to a bigger label so that they could make better produced records. Most of their fans are either die-hard and like the bands that Green Day themselves like (The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Replacements, Husker Du, ect.) or are duchebags who have only heard one song by them and didn't even know that they existed in the 90's. Recently, they have written rock operas that have political stories.

1) wow monday was a great green day 2) I meantioned green day to this girl and she started talkin about american idiot and said that they werent punk rock and had never heard of 1039, smoothed out slappy hours... or any other albums.
