A blanket, gender-neutral term for someone you are romantically involved with. A synonym for "significant other" because "significant other" is too long to say.

Person 1: "Hey, how's your girlfriend?" Person 2: "Oh, they came out as non-binary to me last night. It's funny, they thought it'd be a big deal but the hardest part so far has been trying to thing of something to call them that rolls off the tongue." Person 1: "How about a Romantic?" Person 2: "Like a sappy person?" Person 1: "Sort of. That kind of thing is cute in a relationship, right? But like... if you said 'you're my romantic', that could work." Person 2: "You might be right."
