A tragic tale nearly on the same level as 'lol' It used to mean that an edit was made to a program from a third party. These hacks were used in video game terms to be synonymous with cheat codes. Then the normies got a hold of it. Now it pretty much means a clever trick, although with some of the ways that it is used, the 'trick' usually isn't clever at all. Looking at you, 5-Minute Crafts

OMG, Troom Troom just had this really awesome hack! I better try it! *burns own house down*

Hyper Active Curious Kismet.

To hack, to cut through with cleverness, to bend things to your will. Not the bad kind, the alive kind. When you're bored in a meeting, doodling on a napkin, that's hacking time. When you ignore the 'rules' and talk to strangers, that's hacking loneliness. Hyper Active Curious Kismet means you're built to see cracks, slip in, remake it better. Hack isn't destruction-it's mischief with meaning. You're not malfunctioning. You're meddling and the world needs more of that.
