To 'gollum' over something means to, possess something, treat it as your precious, clean it tend to it, just like Gollum would

A character from Lord of the Rings. He has inspired the creation of a metal sub-genre, known as Gollum-core (or smeogal-core). This genre is commonly associated with the band, Forgetting Skaro.

I love listening to musicians who sound like gollum.

messed up hobbit consumed by the ring, his "precious", who will do anything, i mean any thing, for that thing. must have smoked a lot of crack or something cuz he always makes a weird noise in his throat that sounds like: "ggggoooollummm, goolllummm." (hence the name) Gives us great lines in LOTR
