Pomni
Noun 1. The act of becoming so unfathomably hammered on psychoactive substances and/or alcohol that you lose the ability to physically leave the location of the high in question. 2. A high which is so intense and powerful that you can not leave the location in which you have become intoxicated, whether because of physical or mental reasons that prevent you from doing so. Origin: A tongue-in-cheek reference to the character Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus, whom gets frequently broken up over trying to find a non-existent exit to the digital realm. The term was coined within December of 2023, when a digital circus fan remarked “I’m gonna get so high tonight that you can call me Pomni, because I’ll be unable to find the exit to go for a smoke xD.” IT was then that the term was adopted for its sardonic value, and also because the setting of The Amazing Digital Circus itself is often likened to an acid trip.
